  • Documents personally walked into the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.
  • 7 to 10 business days instead of the standard 5 to 12 weeks by mail
  • $120 first document, $95 each additional. 2-day return shipping included.
  • Get your apostille back, then send it to Rush Translate for the certified translation.

Frequently Asked Questions

A certified translation is a translated document accompanied by a signed statement from the translator or translation company attesting that the translation is complete and accurate, and that the translator is competent in both languages. USCIS, courts, universities, and most government agencies require certified translations for any document not originally in English.

Yes. Rush Translate provides certified translations that meet USCIS requirements under federal regulation 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3). Each translation includes a signed certificate of accuracy with the translator's name, signature, and statement of competency. These are accepted for green card petitions, citizenship applications, visa submissions, and all other USCIS filings.

USCIS requires certified translations, not notarized translations. A certified translation includes a signed statement from the translator. A notarized translation adds an additional step where a notary public verifies the translator's identity. Some courts, foreign consulates, and specific institutions may require notarization on top of certification. Rush Translate offers notarization as an add-on service for $19.95 if you need it.

Standard certified translations from Rush Translate are delivered within 24 hours. Rush and same-day options are available for urgent needs at an additional cost.

Certified translations through Rush Translate start at $24.95 per page, with a page defined as 250 words or less. Most single page documents like birth certificates and marriage certificates fall within one page. Notarization is available for an additional $19.95 if required.

No. We refer all translation work to Rush Translate. We have used them ourselves and trust their quality, speed, and pricing. By linking you directly to them, you get their rates without any added markup. We receive a referral fee from Rush Translate for the recommendation, but this does not affect your price.

For most countries, the apostille comes first. You get the apostille attached to your original document, and then the entire packet (original plus apostille) gets translated together. This is because the receiving country needs to verify the apostille is authentic, and the translation must include the apostille page itself. If you need an apostille, start that process here and then get the translation after.

Technically, USCIS allows any competent individual to provide a certified translation. However, translating your own documents is not recommended. USCIS may consider self-translated documents biased, and a rejected translation can delay your entire application. A professional certified translation eliminates this risk entirely.
