Call (571) 384-4491Here is the short version. You will receive two emails from VetConnex after your appointment. The first has your login. The second means your results are ready.
Shortly after your appointment, you will receive an email from VetConnex with the subject "Welcome to VetConnex - Login Details." This email contains your email and password for the portal. Save it.
This second email from VetConnex will usually arrive within 30 minutes to 2 hours after your appointment. The subject line will be "VetConnex - Your Response is Ready!" This email contains a link to the portal and a 7 character PIN you will need to download your results.
Click the link in the second email or go directly to vetcdirect.com. On the login page, use the email and password from the first email to sign in under "Returning Users."
Once logged in, you will see two buttons: "Select Services" and "View Response." Click "View Response" to go to the download page.
On the next page, you will see a "View/Print Application" button at the top. Ignore that button entirely. Scroll down to the PIN field, paste the 7 character PIN from your second email, then click "View/Print PDF."
Your FBI background check will open as a PDF. Download it and save it to your computer immediately. Your PIN is single use and your report is only available for 30 days before it is permanently deleted due to FBI regulations.
If you are using your FBI background check for international purposes, such as a visa, work permit, residency, or dual citizenship, you will need an apostille. We handle the entire process and personally walk your documents into the U.S. Department of State.
Most results arrive within 30 minutes to 2 hours after your fingerprinting appointment. In rare cases, results can take up to 48 hours. You will receive an email from VetConnex as soon as your results are ready to download.
Check your spam or junk folder first. The email comes from VetConnex Individual Client Portal with the subject "Welcome to VetConnex - Login Details." If you still cannot find it, contact us at (571) 384-4491 or email support@fingerprintsandapostilles.com and we will help you get it sorted out.
No. You must use a laptop or desktop computer to download your FBI background check from the VetConnex portal. The PDF download does not work on tablets or cellphones. This is a VetConnex system limitation, not something we control.
PINs are single use. If yours is not working, click the "Resend Pin Email with New Pin" link on the VetConnex download page to receive a new one. If you continue to have issues, call us at (571) 384-4491.
You have 30 days to download your report. After that, it is automatically deleted from the VetConnex system due to FBI regulations. We are unable to recover it after that point. Download and save your report to your computer as soon as you receive the notification email.
If you are using your FBI background check for anything international (visa applications, work permits, residency, dual citizenship, study abroad), you will most likely need a federal apostille.
