Please read these terms carefully before using our fingerprinting and apostille services.
Effective Date: May 3, 2026
By accessing the Fingerprints and Apostilles LLC ("we," "us," or "our") website at fingerprintsandapostilles.com, scheduling an appointment, placing an order, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
We provide fingerprinting services at our Virginia locations, including FBI background checks, fingerprint cards (FD-258 and others), ATF fingerprinting with EFT files, FDLE fingerprinting, and mobile fingerprinting. We also provide apostille services for FBI background checks and naturalization certificates through the U.S. Department of State.
Our Partner Program provides white-label apostille fulfillment infrastructure for businesses. Partners submit documents through a secure portal and we handle all processing, submission, and return shipping on their behalf.
Appointments are required at all of our locations. Same-day appointments are welcome and encouraged. You must bring two forms of identification to your appointment: one photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport) plus one additional form of identification with your name (such as a passport, debit card, or credit card). We reserve the right to refuse service if valid identification cannot be provided.
Current pricing for all services is listed on our website. Prices are subject to change without notice, though any price changes will not affect orders already placed and paid for. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards.
Apostille orders include 2-day return shipping at no additional cost. Overnight shipping is available for an additional fee. International shipping requires the customer to provide their own shipping label.
FBI background check results are typically available within 2 hours of your appointment, with most results arriving the same day. In rare cases, results may take up to 48 hours. Apostille processing takes approximately 7 to 10 business days from the date we submit your documents to the U.S. Department of State.
All turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees. The FBI controls background check processing times, and the U.S. Department of State controls apostille processing times. We are not responsible for delays caused by these government agencies. We will communicate with you if we become aware of any unusual delays affecting your order.
Fingerprinting services are non-refundable once performed. Because fingerprinting requires the physical presence of a trained technician and the use of specialized equipment, we cannot offer refunds after your appointment has been completed.
Apostille orders may be cancelled for a full refund before we submit your documents to the U.S. Department of State. Once documents have been submitted, the government apostille fee ($20 per document) is non-refundable because it has already been paid on your behalf. If you cancel after submission but before completion, you will receive a refund minus the government fee already paid.
If the U.S. Department of State rejects a document for apostille processing, we will notify you promptly and work with you to resolve the issue. Government fees paid for rejected documents are non-refundable as they are controlled by the Department of State.
We handle all customer documents with care and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For apostille orders requiring original documents (such as naturalization certificates), the original document will be returned to you along with the apostille via your selected shipping method.
Once documents are handed off to a shipping carrier for return delivery, the carrier assumes responsibility for transit. We are not liable for documents lost, damaged, or delayed by the shipping carrier. We recommend selecting a shipping method with tracking for valuable documents. If a document is lost in transit, we will assist you in filing a claim with the carrier.
We personally submit documents to the U.S. Department of State for apostille processing. We are not the issuing authority for apostilles. The U.S. Department of State is the sole authority that issues federal apostilles, and their decisions regarding document eligibility and processing are final.
We submit documents that we reasonably believe meet the Department of State's requirements. However, we cannot guarantee that any specific document will be accepted for apostille. If the Department of State determines that a document is not eligible, we will return your document and notify you of the reason provided.
Partners who enroll in our Partner Program agree to use the secure portal for order submission and management. Partner pricing is as listed on our Partner Program page. There are no monthly fees, minimum order requirements, contracts, or setup costs.
Partners authorize us to send order status notifications and updates to their clients using the partner's company branding. Partners are responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents they submit through the portal. We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by incorrect or incomplete submissions.
You are responsible for providing accurate personal information when using our services. This includes your legal name as it appears on your identification documents, a valid email address and phone number for communications, and legible, authentic documents for apostille processing.
You agree not to submit fraudulent, altered, or illegally obtained documents for any of our services. We reserve the right to refuse service if we have reason to believe that documents are not authentic or that services are being requested for unlawful purposes.
Fingerprints and Apostilles LLC provides fingerprinting and apostille services to the best of our ability. However, we are not liable for delays, rejections, or other issues caused by government agencies, shipping carriers, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, regardless of the theory of liability.
